home schooling is not illegal in Florida, but parents who want to home school their children have to conform to certain legal requirements... I assume this guy didn't bother with any of that.

Right, homeschooling is schooling, not keeping kids home from school.

Most parents that successfully homeschool are qualified to do so and are committed to spending the necessary time. They are also have to take into account that children's social and emotional intelligence has to be cultivated through interacting with other children, too. Some of my friends have done it and their children got into good colleges and grad schools.

'zactly. Homeschooling is not just ignoring the law and imagining that you live on your own personal planet.

Apparently Florida Law (Section 1003.21, Florida Statutes) makes education compulsory for all people whom are between the ages of 6 and 16. Judges usually have a cadre of ignorant thugs with badges and guns that are all too willing to do whatever the judge says. He probably should give up his illusion that he is the sovereign crown prince of his own piece of drained swamp land.
