Neo-cons take a big hit in GOP civil war

Rush Limbaugh was going nuts today because Trump on MSNBC this morning said he makes deals and could make them with Democrats if elected. He also was beside himself because of Trump's pointed criticism of Cruz, which to my mind is completely correct. I guess Rush is a Cruz supporter and perhaps a neo-con too? Also keep in mind that Limbaugh was a big supporter of the Gulf War and Trump wasn't, so that misses his litmus test too. At any rate Limbaugh is on the warpath seeing Trump as a liberal Trojan horse.

I look at the election this way. There are only two candidates that can even begin to shake things up in a constructive way: Trump and Sanders. Everyone one else will give us more of the same neo-liberal/neo-con shitfest. That isn't to imply that those two will unite a clearly divided country, or that they are perfect antidotes to what ails our polity. But maybe one or the other will shake things up enough to get real change we can believe in and once again give voice to all those disgruntled average Joes and Janes on the left, right and center who have been all but ignored by their elected reps.

I, thanks yes pretty good there...

btw I think this Bloomberg thing might be a way to split the NY vote for Hillary's benefit...

iow Bloomberg siphons off some Trump support and Hillary takes NY ...

I dont see how Hillary could win if Trump takes his home state of NY Hillary needs to carry NY...

Malmo, the political system is rotten, but IMO what any of these two will show off is that is completely rotten because the gridlock and stupidity in DC.

Next downturn and people being fed up (due to what wrote above) will ignite the establishment. What will happen then? I've no freaking clue, but is scary. Maybe there will be a revival of the Great Depression politics or moderate populist movement, that would be the best outcome. And USA won't be alone on this ofc...

The challenges for the world are huge the next decades, and this time we got nuclear weapons all around the glove. The Northern continent is in a relatively privileged situation, we need stability over here because things could turn very ugly on Asia very fast as the situation degrades environmentally (which already has happened a lot in China, which has lot 50% of it's fresh water supply over the last decades for example, and India).

Huuuge challenges... with broken political systems like now we cannot fix real problems, this presidentials are the first of many to come which will prove to be very important for the future of USA and the world. If every nation is unstable (and I'm counting that those of Asia will be very unstable) world war will happen IMO.

This may look like fantasy scenario, but is something many of us will have to experience (I'm relatively young yet, so I'm sure I will be alive by then) or our sons will.
