Greek news reporting that at least 10 Greek deaths in the border city of Mariupolis in Donetsk. The Greek foreign minister has called in the Russian ambassador to the Greek foreign ministry office for Greek coffee and biscuits.

Also, Erdogan trying to have it both ways. No, I don't mean sexually. He wants to mediate talks between the Russians and the Ukrainians.

Btw, while the Ukrainians were dumb enough to purchase last year useless Turkish drones, the Turks themselves with the proceeds were seeking to purchase sophisticated Russian anti-aircraft missiles.

Also, what you haven't seen here in the North American news. Zelensky asked the Turks to close the Bosphorus [a Greek word, I wonder why...] strait to Russian warships. The Turks told them can do. LOL... The strait is, and will remain, OPEN. Will the Ukrainians ever learn how nation-interests work?

You know, am bad with names sometimes. I once said, "Operation Barbarella" instead of "Operation Barbarossa." Great movie Barbarella. Thought Jane Fonda was sexiest woman ever.

But seriously, we're always reminded of how the Russians defeated the Germans in WWII. Yeah, but have anyone here ever wondered what would have happened had the Germans not terminated the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact after their invasion ("war of conquest?) of Poland?

I'll tell you:

Poland would have been sliced up between the Germans and Russians. Other countries would soon follow for "slicing."

Then the Soviet Union's Jews would have been handed over to the Germans.

I think we're lucky that Hitler never read War and Peace.

Me, two things I got from reading War and Peace.

1: Never, ever!, be dumb enough to invade a massive, damn cold land mass like Russia, especially when winter is only a month away.

2: Salty baked potato recipe. So humble, so simply delicious :)

Who was more beautiful - Barbarella or Pygar the blind angel?

Noticed the Mosler on his twitter page has the initials MMT under a square root symbol.

I always hated the look of that math symbol. I dunno, it just looks too pointy in a scary way to me. That's why I prefer the use of fractional exponents. Much more presentable and also easier for calculations. It's all in the look/presentation. And don't get me started on the calculus symbols...

Btw, in the "what they never told you in math class" department: You know, the y-axis and x-axis in the Cartesian plane are perpendicular to each other. Doesn't have to be that way, or necessary -- just tradition. but i guess it's easier on the eyes ;)
