Why Isn't There A Committee Reporting That Our "Corporate Welfare Trust Fund" Is Insolvent?

(Commentary posted by Roger Erickson - in memory of the writings of Robert Eisner.)

[Committee for Frozen Fiat] REPORT:
ANALYSIS OF THE 2014 SOCIAL SECURITY TRUSTEES' REPORT
According to these geniuses, the Trustees show that The Social Security Disability Insurance (DI) trust fund is (as they already pre-decided):
* on the brink of insolvency (it wouldn't have mattered WHAT the report said)
* projected to be exhausted in 2033 (assuming borrowing of more fiat - don't ask how, or why, that occurs either).
* "Imbalanced" over 75 years -  to the tune of 2.88 percent of taxable payroll, or 1.02 percent of GDP.  (Heck - it's probably out of balance with Ayn Rand and the cosmic background radiation too, and a great many other anomalies, but who's counting?)
* facing a gap between Social Security spending and revenues that will grow from 1.3 percent of payroll (0.45 percent of GDP) this year to 3.9 percent of payroll (1.4 percent of GDP) by 2035 and 4.9 percent of payroll (1.7 percent of GDP) by the end of the 75-year window.
Oh ... my ... gosh! Liars & Innocent Frauds and Perma-DTs, Oh My! Can you visualize these dweebs trying to generate some fiat, and then imagine the semantic difficulties they're saddling future generations with?

They just drone on & on, with endless, invented data irrelevant to context.

How can fiat be exhausted? Don't ask. They have no answer, so they conveniently avoid asking themselves to face reality. They're lost in a crusade to balance what must evolve.

What does an "imbalance" in the fiat mean? Maybe only yodeling political Yoda's can sense that particular disturbance, since a politician's strength flows from the Farce? Curiously, there is no mention of what % of GDP goes to Corporate Welfare, aka "Policy."

Riddle me this Blather Man: why is Social Security the ONLY component of fiat that is [supposedly] funded by a tax on fiat?

So why AREN'T there formal Committees:
a) reporting that Our Corporate Welfare Trust Fund is insolvent?

b) reporting something equally implausible - that our nation's trusty Public Initiative Fund is insolvent?

c) reporting on the mythical gap between fiat "revenue" and fiat itself? [If you have to ask where fiat comes from ... you can't afford it? :( ]
d) explaining how, exactly, a nation generates the fiat revenue that fuels fiat? [Public Initiative?]
You'll never hear the Committee for Frozen Fiat (CFF) commenting on any of those basic sanity checks. Actual thinking does not seem to be in their repertoire, so it's no surprise that they display no sign of Logic-101 either. They have one campaign, and a one-track mind.

At this point any reasonable human should be wondering: "Why don't we just send clowns to Congress, and to staff all federal agencies too?" [Don't answer that unless you're ready to face the answer - it may not reflect well on the voters.]

Meanwhile, this CFF choir seems to have unstoppable momentum - irregardless of reality, or desired outcomes.

An old saying holds that "People will do anything in their power to avoid thinking."

Apparently, shameless politicians will do even more than that, and invoke negative-thinking or straw-concepts, not just lack of thinking. Worse, our foolish electorate will let them! The outcome? If we don't do anything about the real FUDeral Deficit, we might scare ourselves to death with complete nonsense.

Who Says A National Job Guarantee Is Either Novel, or Illogical? It's The Only Logical Adaptive Anchor For ANY System.

Commentary posted by Roger Erickson

I heard a wag today claiming that ObamaCare will soon be a resounding success, and that even GOP members will be clamoring to extend it. So we have nothing to worry about. Right.

Just like with the Social Security Act? Not to mention the Full Employment Acts of 1946 & 1978 too?

re: 1946 - "Thus, because of the planlessness of the twenties - because ofthe lack of courageous action immediately following the collapse — the nation lost 105,000,000 man-years of production in the thirties. - Full Employment Act of 1945, Hearngs, p. 1104"

re: 1978 - "The Full Employment and Balanced Growth Act of 1978 established an interim 5-year target of 3 percent unemployment for individuals 20 years of age and older, and 4 percent for individuals age 16 and over within 5 years, with full employment to be achieved as soon as practicable thereafter."

Somehow that never quite became "practicable" - primarily due to the need to maintain CEO salaries, stockholder dividends and bankster bonuses. Turns out there's quite a gap between an Act and it's enforcement.

Forget about a free lunch. There's not even any equitable lunch if the Middle Class doesn't demand EVERY SINGLE PENNY it requires to be the resilient backbone of this nation.

If we don't demand citizen rights, the only general welfare of the people we'll ever get is Corporate Welfare, for the squeaky wheeler-dealers.

As an analogy, show me a human physiology where every one of the tens of trillions of cells isn't kept in a state of adequate readiness. Even adipose cells - the "idle rich," are maintained only as a reserve, to be drained upon demand.

Force readiness applies to a citizenry, as well as to a physiology, and to our national defense agencies. They're all just systems, which are either organized ... or not.

Say, here's a thought. Why not just combine the right to bear arms AND the right to hold a force-readiness job?

It's Official. US Politicians Are As Dumb (Or Corrupt) As Any Worldwide. USA POTUS Begging For Foreign Fiat

   (Commentary posted by Roger Erickson.)

Either that, or they believe PT Barnum's maxim, that they can never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the US electorate. How's that make YOU feel?

Either way, there are two discussions going on here. First, there are the literal words being presented, repeated, and heard, by many distinct audiences. Second, there's the single, underlying situation that ALL audiences are part of. Let's just hold ourselves to a higher standard, ignore the semantic inanities, and focus on real, Situational Awareness, and any Desired Outcomes which the USA can get to, from here.

Barack Obama to announce aggressive strategy to attract [foreign] investment

For Pete's sake!!! What does ANY nation need foreign fiat for? Alexander Hamilton & the rest of the Founders must be spinning in their graves, wondering how we could stoop to endorsing, and topping, the very stupidity which they rebelled against! Being railroaded into using foreign fiat, as opposed to organizing their own, collective fiat.  Why? Pray tell? What's the consensus, Desired Outcome? What makes Obama's preferred path more attractive than the other ones? Are there any attractions which are more equal (to him) than outcomes that seem attractive to the rest of us? What about any remaining attraction to what's left of a resilient Middle Class in the USA?

Faced with this level of imbecility - or fraud - it really would be far smarter for every community to just organize their own, Public Bank - IF this current electorate could keep the Control Frauds from owning all Public Banks too, within 5 years. Yet if we could do that, why not just have a citizens revolt, and take back control of our own, national public bank? Make the Fed a Public Fed? We couldn't possibly do any worse than the existing pit of Control Fraud vipers that rules the Fed for the gain of orthodox economists, not the nation.

Hell, while we're at it, why not have democracy seize control of all lobbying organizations, and their little Treasury and Congress too? Who OWNS this supposed democracy, anyway? Whomever is willing to act like owners? Non-gangsters can act like owners too you know, in theory, if there's any domestic fiat left, that is, distributed throughout our former Middle Class. Anyone else willing to step up and voluntarily alter their acting career? New roles beckon in an ongoing, epic feature reality play. The outcome depends entirely on the efforts of the current cast of characters.

We need to have an honest discussion about methods for achieving that conensus, Desired Outcome. NOT a discussion that keeps us conquered, divided, confused and distracted from even acknowledging the consensus Desired Outcome that we used to accept.

Meanwhile, is this ongoing move by mega-merchants a formal coup by the wealthy 1% everywhere, to rule the 99% everywhere? Or are they just dumber'n a sack of hammers? It's not just a class war going on. Shipping and finance merchants are also perverting our entire government to wage guild-war against all manufacturers AND labor. And they are winning, so far. Free trade just means that mega-merchants are in control of tax and trade policy, and now fiscal policy as well.

What are we? Citizen owners of our own democracy, or just mega-merchant-fodder? Better answer that quick, or else the mega-merchants will run off with the royal-we response, supposedly on our behalf. (Did you notice that there's a 99% discount sale on democracy going on? Beneath our feet?)

This makes no sense, and is just another, unbalanced descent into yet another version of Central Planning by a cabal too small to wield the full-group intelligence we need just in order to survive. It's the parasites "winning" by killing their host. Once again, like in 1933, we need to save these idiots from themselves, as part of saving ourselves.

The merchant lobby logic is also inconsistent. MICC & other Corporate Welfare operates by fiat currency logic, while we're told that gold-std logic applies to the serfs.

Huh? When do double-standards EVER scale efficiently? When wielded by supposedly genius-level Central Planners? In their dreams, and in our nightmares, that's when.

And we're also instructed to not ask questions? WTF is going on?

Why aren't more citizens asking WTF is going on?

ps: Forget 666. We're dealing with 444 - Foreign Fiat For. It's officially dumber than Cain's "999" formula, and more evil to boot.

Corporate-Welfare Makes Corporations Lazy? Hey, If The Concept's FUBAR, Wear It - Both Ways.

Commentary by Roger Erickson

In a stunning example of logic running both ways in a cognitive equation, ...

NeoCons have beeen flabbergasted yet again* by yet another thing that "No One Could Have Possibly Predicted." Yes, Maude, I'm afraid it's true. We'll just have to face up to the facts, and the shame.

Corporate-Welfare Makes Corporations Lazz!

* Every day - for a record 198,000 years running - they've been surprised that things change. Why, some have even noted that we have zero, net, predictive power. Nevertheless, they're steadfastly sticking to their policy of refusing to teach this to their kids. They believe that the union of reality and context awareness should be initiated only after gay marriage passes.

Robert Johnson — The Real Story of Detroit's Collapse

State underfunds its pension system and puts the funds into corporate welfare. Then the fiscal scolds blame it all on poor people.

And not just Detroit. This is SOP.

The Lower Classes Are Inferior To The Upper Classes Due To Libertarian Breeding Differences?

commentary by Roger Erickson

So says Charles Murray, Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (and prominent GOP advisor).

Is he saying that sexual recombination is incapable of creating human "snowmobiles" from diverse parts? Or is he himself disproof of his own theory?

Are we doomed precisely because the idiot fringe of recombinant statistics concentrates in the Upper Looting Classes? Wasn't that principle enunciated by Dilbert, among others?

Instead of Situational Awareness, we're reverting to Twituational Duhwareness? We better hope that's caused by a recessive Cultural Meme. It's systemically self defeating to select for policy components that are dominantly dumb.

Also, 'Murray admitted that his work in Thailand laid the foundation for his harsh authoritarian politics and policies he later espoused in the United States under the political label “libertarianism.” '

Let's see. The Upper Class definition of a 'cultural snowmobile' is one guaranteed to self-destruct within 3 generations?

Understandably, Murray's opinion seems to be that Corporate Social Security and Corporate Welfare are only for the Upper Class, not the lower classes which didn't "breed" the right way. "... officials cite the Murray book as a philosophical base” for slashing social programs."
