Zero Hedge — Questions Emerge Why Trump Security Advisor Spoke Repeatedly With Russian Ambassador

The Washington Post reports that two people familiar with the issue, who spoke on condition of anonymity, claim that President-elect Trump's choice for national security adviser, Michael Flynn, held multiple phone conversations with Russia's ambassador to Washington on the day the US announced retaliation for Moscow's interference in the election.

The phone calls were first reported by Washington Post columnist David Ignatius.
As Reuters reports, the conversations appear to raise further questions about contacts between Trump's advisers and Russian officials….
The deeper question raised is who obtained and leaked this information to frontman David Ignatius, apparently illegally, and published in the Washington Post.

Anyone see a pattern unfolding at the Post? That was snark. How could anyone miss it?

Post election, the President-Elect talks to foreign leaders.

It's a commie plot!

Probably saved the world from a nuclear conflagration, With the US tanks on the Russian borders. Probably prevented a corresponding Russian buildup.

Quote:
Donald Trump and his advisers have told British officials their administration’s first foreign trip will be a meeting with Russia’s Vladimir Putin in the capital of Iceland, the Sunday Times reported, citing an unidentified source, a move that is certain to unleash even more domestic and foreign criticism of Trump's alleged proximity to the Russian leader.

According to The Sunday Times, Trump hopes to conduct the Putin "summit" within weeks of his January 20 inauguration in the Reykjavik, "emulating Ronald Reagan’s Cold War deal-making in Reykjavik with Mikhail Gorbachev."

The meeting with Vladimir Putin, which would be Donald Trump’s first foreign trip, is where Trump will start working on an agreement limiting nuclear arms within a "reset" in US-Russian relations

One conspiracy I heard is trying to tie Trump with Russia and Israel, so essentially a combination of the "It's the Jews!" and Russian mobsters controlling him. I am still hoping all this BS will die down after January 20th. People have wild imaginations.

Addition to my post above Trump Ensnares Media in Yet Another Fake News Boondoggle

Quote:
The media was rife with 'I told you so' headlines yesterday, after reports from more unnamed sources said the first order of business for the Trump administration was to hold a summit with Vladimir Putin, in Iceland, just like Reagan did with Gorbachev, circa 1986.

The headlines were smug and the Twitterati of newly born left wing militarist war mongers were resplendent with calls for martial law or protests or anything that could stop Donald Trump, an obvious traitor against America -- a revolting person of low qualities who enjoys to be urinated upon by Russian hookers.

The only problem with that narrative, as touching as it may seem, is that it's completely false. According to Trump's press secretary, it's all fake news.

This story was likely leaked by team Trump on purpose, in order to make the media look like jackass fools. By leaking falsehoods to an ornery and invective media, Trump keeps them on their toes and makes them second guess anything they hear coming out of his quarters, an effective disinformation strategy used to fool an enemy during a time of war.

That is the fad nowadays...

maybe what makes it false is the location Iceland...

Who knows they may already be running a mole hunt and they tell people different locations and then when the location leaks they know who leaked it as they told everybody a different location...
