Boris Johnson is a worm, but can we blame him for crawling away before he can be asked about Israeli atrocities?
In politics, if you say the slightest negative thing about Israeli crimes (and sometimes even if you say only positive things about Israelis) you can be branded an "anti-Semite."
This is the kiss of death, because society makes it so. Being called an "anti-Semite" is worse than being called a rapist or murderer. Therefore Boris Johnson escape so he would not have to say anything at all.

I blame society for this.
