I must run out the door, but I wish to make two quick comments…

The purpose of official lies is to keep the peasants confused and bickering, and therefore submissive. For this to happen, the peasants only need to believe enough of the lies to keep bickering with each other.

We see how this works in that Zero Hedge post [“Scientists revise understanding of Novichok after it fails to produce expected lethal effects”]

In very first sentence we read, “In the aftermath of the poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal…”

Wait a minute. How do we know there was any “poisoning” at all? The entire Zero Hedge post is based on the presumption that the “poisoning” is fact. If we reject this presumption, the article becomes meaningless.

For propaganda to work, the peasants must accept at least some aspect of it.

Here’s another example…

CLAIM: “The dictator Assad gasses his own people.”

RESPONSE: “He may be a dictator, but that does not mean he gasses his own people.”

Here the responder accepts part of the lie (“Assad is a dictator”) and therefore starts the bickering process. (“Does the dictator gas his own people?”)

The propaganda has worked.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

From the article titled, “Poverty of anti-Poverty”:

“According to recent report by Bruce D. Meyer and Derek Wu, Social Security cuts the poverty rate by a third—more than twice the combined effect of the five means-tested transfers.”

Social Security is a UBI for retirees.

According to people who have failed in life, and are therefore bitter and frustrated (like “Kristjan”) all “arguments” for UBI are false, and all forms of UBI create “freeloaders.”

Therefore if “Kristjan” gets Social Security benefits, then “Kristjan” too is a freeloader.
