Wilbur Ross and the dopey finance capitalists

It would be so easy to beat these dopey finance capitalists at their game. So, so, easy. If I were only in charge. If only there was a leader somewhere who understood the power of his/her nation's own sovereign money and what they could do. You could bury these guys who produce...nothing.

Don Trump's new Commerce Secretary, octogenarian loser hedge fund elf, Wilbur Ross, spoke these "pearls" of wisdom today.

"Brexit is a God-given opportunity to steal business away from UK."
"I recommend that Cyprus should adopt and immediately announce even more liberal financial service policies than it already has so that it can try to take advantage of the inevitable relocations that will occur during the period of confusion,"

Wilbur Ross is an elf
Wilbur Ross is an elf
So, our new Commerce Secretary is basically advocating for other countries (maybe for us, too) to zealously deregulate finance and give the banksters in Cyprus free reign to commit massive fraud like the banksters in the City of London and Wall Street did, which nearly destroyed the entire global economy.

This is great business, I guess, to him.

Finance creates nothing. NOTHING. It produces nothing. It's a tax on everyone that flows to a small few like the elf, Ross.

Ross should be promoting investment in infrastructure, health care, education, basic science and research, alternative energy, but instead, he's saying, steal London's financial casino's. What a dope.

If only I were in charge. I'd bury these guys. BURY THEM.

Finance needs to be shrunk down to practically nothing. Wilbur Ross, as I said before was a terrible pick for Commerce and he's proving it with these idiotic comments, but I am sure Trump thinks it's brilliant.

Actually, upon hearing Ross's comments the Brits ought to be laughing and cheering and saying, Here! Take the City for all we care, but, no, I am sure they are shaking in their misguided boots at what's about to be "stolen" away from them by Cyprus and Dublin.

Lol!!

If it were up to me, I'd aggressively nationalize these banks and ban private banking altogether and do anything possible to limit the power of these people or put them out of business for good. Of course, people in America are zombies that still believe China is our banker and that such a measure would mean "Socialism!" and "we're running out of money."

So far for the up and coming Trump administration, it's not looking too great to me. Make America (Corporations) First. That's the name of the game here.

Surely he knows that Wall Street does its dirtier deals out of the City to avoid stricter US financial laws and regulations. His message is too loosen those laws and regs to steal the City's "business." The guy is basically a crook. He's probably for refunding the fines that Wall Street paid for their breaking the law in the run up to the crisis.

OK, so that's going beyond the evidence. Maybe he hasn't been paying attention. If so, what is he doing in that position?

Matt,

Re. your comments in other threads about 'material competence'.

A lot of this people (maybe not Trump, but a lot of the people surrounding him now) don't look at it systemically. They are 'acquisitors', they view it from a q100% egotistic poin of view (ie. psychopath/sociopath). The material competence only matters as far as it's good for their own immediate circle, regardless of long term consequence.

Like this Wilbur Ross here... thereby "crook". They will fix their own material issues, won't look up for the nation as a whole (not a nationalist, he is 'free trade'/globalisation/capital-uber-alles).

Matt Franko said...

Well they are Business majors (Trump Wharton MBA...) not STEM majors... so this may not be understood about them... like some SJW Journalist wont understand these people as they are not trained in business..

Yes imo they are acquisitors... but these acquisitors not only want to acquire things they want these acquired things to be kept in good condition and maintained in excellence...

So at least for Trump he has a capability to look at material systems and assess them for excellence... (which btw I think this could be used to manipulate him)...

Like for Trump if he pulled into one of his golf properties and the flower beds were not planted, there was litter in the grass, he looked out on the greens and there was fungus, bare spots in the fairways due to grubs, golf carts were filthy with spilled soda and beer, mustard, etc..

He would take action to correct it... now he would not do the work he would leave that to others but he would get the GM of the property in a meeting and point these things out and tell him/her to get it corrected pronto...

Trump looks at our infrastructure (material) and is not very pleased it looks all dirty and run down, potholes, crime, so he has promised to get that corrected... iow HE is not going to correct it (he is not a ditch digger...) but he is going to GET IT corrected... he will arrange things so that we end up with better material outcomes and he can be the judge of whether things are better or not...

Now the thing is, IF things are not better (and I mean in truth not some Dem/lefty/SJW bs...) IF things are REALLY not better, then imo this can be put in his face and he will respond to it BIG LEAGUE... this is how he could be manipulated... probably the only way...

Like if he is in there a while and he has promised improvement in the VA...if you could do a report where there is still rampant VA injustice and ill treatment... he would probably fire the VA guy and get somebody else in there to take care of it immediately...

Its the concept of "material systems management"... not many lefties understand this concept they have no aptitude for it and no training... so you see a lot of disorder among the left.. bad hygiene, drug use, etc... then look at the alt-right people they have clean hair cuts and are nattily dressed, use alcohol not drugs, etc..

These Trump people are going to get better material results than the last 24 years of the 3 potus Clinton/Bush2/Obama... they are better at managing for better domestic material outcomes than those 3 admins... now will it be better than if we were involved?... No... but it will be better... this is what these people do...

If you want to use Trump's golf club as a metaphor for his presidency: the rich will be provided for, the environment will be poisoned, and the minimum-wage staff may retain their jobs.

Matt Franko said...

Noah that's not a metaphor that is the way it really is... mine is the figure of speech...

The left has to figure out effective ways to illustrate what they see as unacceptable material outcomes into a "disaster!" in the eyes of Trump... then he will do whatever they want... iow dont challenge him on his competency (he is waaaaay more competent than any lefty...) challenge him on the results...

If its really not getting "great again!" imo he will respond to that...

Cassette tapes for crying out loud.... this would absolutely get under Trump's skin....

You're completely right. I saw some stupid article in Politico focusing on how Trump's height is really 6 foot two rather than 6 foot three. That's what passes for journalism now. There's lots of things to be critical of Trump about, but focusing on a trivial non-material matter like his height isn't gonna do anything in guiding him in the right direction.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/trump-drivers-license-height-232948

My concern is if the Democrats are just gonna cave in to every single one of Trump's demands without saying anything tangible about if one of his proposals goes wrong. Chuck Schumer seems to be that kind of person IMO.

For the record, I graduated from a state business school with a degree related to Information Technology rather than say some liberal arts college, so I need to look at this situation more through that lens rather than what these clueless journalists are saying. I do not possess an MBA or anything of that nature.

All the dreaming about obtaining political power or useless protesting (occupy wall street) does absolutely no good. Civil disobedience against wall street is the way to go. If enough people stop paying their bills (mortgage, car, credit card, utilities, etc.) the whole financial system would collapse. This is not breaking the law. You will not be charged with a crime. Paying your bills is a civil matter. Not paying your bills is civil disobedience. It only took a small percentage of mortgage defaults to cause the financial crisis in 2008. So I say put your money where your mouth is and organize a financial collapse.

The pressure that Trump will bow to is the same pressure that all politicians bow to - and the one thing you can be certain of is that it is not 'popular'. This is the battle that is going on. Instead of the preselected enthusiastic adherent of the Deep State's program we have 'outsider' Trump, who will be brought into the fold one way or another.

The puppeteers will not let go of the strings. To imagine that the power structure that has been in place since Truman will simply roll over is delusional.

Mark none of those people even have mortgages and utility payments... maybe student loans...

Dont pay your govt student loans then when nothing happens as a result it might be revealing to the morons...

Bummer.

Matt Franko said...

But the point is that no banks are going busted...

Its not like the govt is garnishing SS to give to banks they are taking it back for the govt as they are govt loans...

Look at the left side of the DTS in the line item "Education Department Programs"... on the LEFT side... this is where those deposits come from....

This is like Pocahontas Liz Warren allegedly advocating for students when she says she wants govt loans at no more than "prime plus 2%..." she's an idiot (or do we think she speaks with forked tongue too????)

Tom Hickey said...

Liz is a lawyer, and lawyers are trained to speak with a forked tongue, that is, to make the worse case seem to be the better one rather than to seek justice.

But this is a finance-economic issue and it is more likely she is just another moron.
