They already have as evidenced by massive increases in military spending and saber rattling against Russia, Syria, Iran, Russia North Korea, and did I mention Russia?
Neocons are basically the spawn of Scoop Jackson Democrats. They certainly do not support "laissez faire" economics.
It's a good thing we have a fiat money system so government military spending is not constrained.
US neocons are largely a product of the Israeli state and the military industrial complex.
