Too early to claim crypto victory. Let them try it and find out its shortcomings. Govts are failing at their responsibilities and its natural that the people will seek alternatives but I dont believe bitcoin nor any other crypto is the answer. People will figure this out soon enough.
"Blessed are you who are shit holers, for yours is the kingdom of God."
He was talking to ISRAELITES who were maintaining their compliance with the Levitical laws of the Kingdom (and thus their justification) and not corrupting themselves by participating in the economy of Rome or the other nations... look at Lazarus, he begged with the dogs rather than participate in the Roman economy... ended up killing him...
All of that is over now we can have proper material systems outcomes it doesnt have anything to do with our justification in the sight of God .... you're as bad a Billy Graham with this gospelizing...
"But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour." 2 Tim 2:20
Material conditions are going to vary... some places are going to be well constructed/operated and some not ie shit holes...
And it doesnt matter as far as our justification in the sight of God is concerned any more... so might as well do a good job of it anyway...
Matt, you really do get top marks for surreal numismatic theology. Contrary to all the understanding about Jesus's love and sympathy for the poor, he was in fact apparently asking the Jews to join the Roman economy or create one of their own, and that Jesus was a materials systems analyst!
Billy Graham? Wasn't it Billy Graham who made any number of excuses for liars, hypocrites, warmongers and detestable human beings? Not me, babe! Like a leftie Dirty Harry, I'm an (almost) equal opportunities hater: I hate Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians (just their economics), Conservatives, Evangelicals and the rest of the Christian Right, Liberals, the identity politics mob, Zionists, Neocons and just about everyone other than the progressive left, you know the ones who created the best aspects modern world as we know it unlike the Right who have been abysmal fools and annihilators of the working and middle classes.
Matt, you show no willingness to accept that many countries can never be rich by western standards, at least under the current economic arrangements. You seem to think that it's a question of "material systems" and whatnot. Well, how in hell will Nepal, Somalia, Bhutan or any number of countries be anything other than what they are: lack of resources, many landlocked, poor geography etc. Do you think every country has resources available to them like the richer countries? Think about it in terms of systems! What system without adequate resources will ever develop? Why do you think such areas as development economics even exist?

Here even KJV gets it:

We are in continuous SURPLUS for crying out loud... why make this harder than it has to be?
If a place is a shit hole then that place and its leadership needs to be called out and chastised for it...
