The left is too preoccupied with wokeness to pose a threat to the status quo.
The authoritarian left is easily co-opted by the ruling class, as evidenced by the pandemic.

The last defenders of democracy in the current climate are libertarians. Which is more or less an admission that democracy is doomed.

You've got to be joking even Adam Smith recognised that human beings had the imaginative capacity to put themselves in other people's shoes. This we know led to Parliamentary government where given a fair electoral system conversations can adequately take place to determine how much putting ourselves in other people's shoes should take place!
