David F. Ruccio — Why democratic socialism?

Clearly, Bernie Sanders needs to do a better job when it comes to answering the question, “why democratic socialism?” And, along with that, “are you a capitalist?”

I view Sanders as slightly to the right of Nixon on most issues. If this were the 1960's, Bernie would be a mainstream Republican. Bernie may be a lesser evil, but he's no socialist.

Is Sanders proposing to nationalize a single American industry? No.

If Bernie were a threat to capitalism, he wouldn't be allowed to run as a Democrat. If Bernie were a democratic socialist, whatever that is, he wouldn't be providing cover for Hillary's illegal email server.

A better question for Bernie might be "are you a sheepdog?"

Goes to show how left the American "left" is.

What American left there is, is not anywhere near power.

Lars Osberg provides a good guide to social-democracy/democratic socialism:

Hey David: try channeling Eugene Debs, then compare with Bernie.
