There are three major fields of thought or areas, before our consciousness, present in the mind:
1. Science – including education
2. Philosophy – great conditioning ideas
3. Psychology – what is man essentially, and how does he function?
The first two deal with the proper use of the mind and intellectual faculty – the power of discrimination – so that correct knowledge arises from correct perception, correct deduction, and correct witness (accurate evidence). Governments around the world commit a grave crime against humanity by LYING in order to sustain their particular ideology. So does the advertising and entertainment industries. No parent would LIE to their children if they wanted their kids to grow up with a clear mind and right habitual use of the mental faculties; and to be in touch, inside of themselves, with a sense of integrity, dignity and self-respect, extending to others. People forget that it is our behaviour towards one another, based on the inclusivity and universality of the sense of self, that determines what happens in the world; the ideologies are not necessarily compelling. It depends upon whether or not we are willing to be slaves, to whatever mind says. Or to put it in other words, whether or not our relations with ourselves and others come from a deeper place, free of all ideologies, because they are centred in the greater reality of being.…Inspecting the foundation. If a foundation rests on granite, an edifice built on it can be strong. If foundation is set in sand, any edifice built on it will not only be weak but also dangerous.

OK so are we trying to assert that if a child were to take the math equation "3 x 3" and memorize the result through rote learning incorrectly as "6", or attempt to learn it thru a creative learning process by counting fingers and skipped a digit in the transfer from one hand to the next and said "8" ... then that child is lying??????
This is funny here the paragraph talks about "CORRECT perception... CORRECT deduction.... CORRECT etc...".... what if it is NOT CORRECT? Then we are LYING??????
I dont think so.... knowledge is obtained thru either rote processes or thru creative processes... no other way than those 2 to obtain knowledge...
If the person is a rote learner, and the teacher dispenses falsely named knowledge, then the receiver of the data proceeds without true knowledge... if that same person does not have the cognitive ability to obtain knowledge thru creative learning, then they are stuck with the false....
They are NOT lying they are rote learners simply dispensing the falsely named knowledge they have been taught by the morons that came before them .... they have no cognitive abilities for creative learning and are stuck.

There are only 2 ways of obtaining knowledge 1. Creative learning (discipling) and 2. Rote (teaching knowledge)...
We see the Lord trying the hard way (and demonstrably failing) via his 'disciples' and we can see Paul doing it the easy way via simply rote teaching of true knowledge...
Those among us who are either taught falsely named knowledge AND otherwise do NOT possess the cognitive ability to "do it the hard way" via some sort of discipling process .... these people are NOT lying they simply do not KNOW better... they are morons sorry....

Matt – thanks for your comment. I have seen this pop up from time to time in the form of ‘how culpable are the tptb and their minions’? One could ask: ‘how culpable is humanity’? The middle ground seems to be ‘human beings are complex’.
When a four year old lies, it is written all over their face, and the concepts they are using as a screen are transparent or illogical to an adult mind. Hiding motivation is the key.
For me, human beings are tool users. What can I do with a stick or a rock? What can I do with an ideology? Rote learning or not is one issue; whether the learning is false or not another - one can use either deceptively or innocently. For me, mind is always conditional just like the stick is conditional – depends upon the owner.
Perhaps my recent experience of the Australian political class leads me to make too strong a statement about politicians lying through their teeth, regardless of their ideology. Ladders to climb etc. – motivation. Even when they fall off the ladder they continue lying; like toy robots laying on the ground, still whirring …..
Am not about to hand them any excuse, like a moron label ….. so am not convinced yet? But agree a parrot can repeat ‘polly wannacracker’ with no idea who polly is or what a cracker is – but maybe the motivation is - if I make this sound for long enough, someone will give me a biscuit and I can forget for a few seconds about being stuck in a cage.
It took billions of years to evolve the universe; 4.6 billion years to evolve the earth; a mere 200,000 years to evolve modern man whose physical constitution compromises the same atoms that make up every other form. The difference between a physical atom and the atom that is man is the consciousness. A human being is not a moron: the consciousness of the physical atom, the mineral, the plant, the animal, the human being - are just different levels of evolution; once the human consciousness becomes self-conscious, a new hierarchy in nature is born. Once this self-conscious human ascends face-to-face before that universal energy of which it is a spark, the divine ‘seed’, planted long ago in animal man, has done its job.
Humankind is awake in the universe as a persona; but has no idea where it came from, what created it, why it exists, what it is meant to do, what will happen to it, what it is evolving into. So, like a child, it creates its own world. From this point-of-view, the world (humanity) dreams - desires, imagines, thinks, and lives mainly in fear.
So, first we have animal consciousness, then human, then the awakened soul – a part of All, or the OverSoul, then ‘atma’: the self-aware spark, at one with the divine flame; conscious of evolution and in full possession of the lower faculties. And that is just the beginning of the unfolding atma, according to the Trans-Himalayan School.
Consider the mind: mind is like a living, feeling, movie-house and touch screen, all combined. The screen is constantly being thrown into clouds of feeling and thought, and the ‘I’ (persona) is carried along through time and space, under the impetus of desire. Thought is used to fulfil desire. Thought is also used as intellect and the human sciences (pursuit of knowledge) are born. The difference between humans is simply the difference between the unfoldment of the consciousness within. Humans pursue the ‘I’ until they tire of being unfulfilled. Then they begin to look within, reversing their orientation and the flow of all of their energies. The persona becomes aware of a presence within itself; the existence of something divine becomes OBVIOUS. Our existence is not hidden under some rock, somewhere. This awareness is expressed as devotion and control is developed over the faculties of the mind; desire becomes one-pointed and the bonds to the presence become stronger and more persistent. Mind gains the capability to be still, concentrated, and held in a contemplative state – a blank screen waiting to be written on. The movie-house becomes silent and the touchscreen is left alone. Mind then becomes what it is to the higher self – an organ of vision, a window into the lower worlds and the bridge to the higher, whilst maintaining a connection to the fully developed faculties available to the persona and physical brain. At this stage, awareness of the soul can become complete and atma revealed.
The world is a stage, and all players on it. The game is evolution and integration of consciousness: the rest is a distraction that humanity will have to deal with. Throw a snake into a room and everyone becomes really concentrated. The greatest human sin is separateness.
At first we look at the persona of others and feel no particular affinity. But then we touch the quality of a brother’s life, and understand the nature of his plans, aspirations, hopes and purposes. The better we know ourselves and the presence within, the better will we know our brother or sister. Finally, we can completely identify with our brother, and know and feel what he knows and feels – we shall see him as he/she is. The energy of the persona is intelligence, the energy of the soul is love – together they comprise human wisdom. Two legs are needed; the third is Will.
The outer plans of the individual units comprising humanity often conflict, but the inner plan is the same. That is the only place that unity can arise and the collective consciousness strengthen; and why humanity desires peace more than just stopping the wars.
