Scott Adams — James Comey - As seen through the Persuasion Filter

Adams disputes the view that an internal revolt at the FBI made Comey do it.

Clinton machine will go as far in the gutter as possible this week with Trump's own Cocktober Surprise, I'm sure. However, a two pronged attack against Trump and Comey probably won't do much in the end. Trump is an easier target and that's where the arrows are going to be slung. But I'm not sure that she'll be able to ignore Comey with what firepower she has left, which, like i said above, would divide her guttural treachery.

At any rate, like Michael Goodwin wrote over the weekend (sort of echoing Adams)the FBI has the goods on her and she likely knows it from her moles at DOJ. She's simply doomed at this point. Good riddance too.

In what way is she doomed? The vote count will be rigged, and Comey will have an unfortunate accident.

Here is another interpretation, written by people who actually know something about Comey, the FBI, and the law. :) https://www.lawfareblog.com/james-comey-hillary-clinton-and-email-investigation-guide-perplexed

Malmo, so why now? Why not put an end to Killary with the original investigation, which seemed an open and shut case? The FBI turned a blind eye to staggering evidence of Killary's corruption and illegality. They let it slide, only to come back with what seems to be a much weaker case! Nothing the FBI is doing makes sense. And this with mere days to go to the election! What are they thinking?!!? The FBI have fucked themselves. If Killary wins, she'll be out for blood. If Trump wins, he'll rip the FBI apart for their collusion with Killary. I mean, rally, WTF?

This is the October surprise of all surprises, and it may mean, as Malmo predicted, that he'll "clean her clock". If so, I owe Malmo a beer if I ever get to Chicago and he call vent his hatred of the Yankees. To imagine that Trump may yet have the last laugh! Brexit and the end of Killary? 2016 may go down as a damn fine vintage year.

John, Yes the FBI seemed to have an open and shut case. Heck, the private server alone was enough to hang Clinton. Yet Comey unbelievably recommended no prosecution after laying out a vivid narrative that had everyone expecting a recommend of DOJ pitchforks. That made no sense then (he could have recommended nothing and left it to DOJ as an easy way out), same as the latest reopened investigation makes no sense now. So to my mind Comey comes off as incompetent and double tongued (remember, he said his recommendation of no prosecution was not to influence an election).

That bring us to the Adams thesis, shared by others like Carl Bernstein, which in short says that Comey has a bombshell. That makes sense, but I haven't read anywhere from a credible source just what the bombshell is, if there's one at all. If there isn't one then Comey just self immolated his career.

As an aside, I didn't think Clinton was going to win even before the FBI story Friday. I think the wiki dump was doing serious damage to Clinton, especially with the pay to play illegality of the Clinton charity, and personal enrichment thereof for the Clinton's. The past week had the MSM actually covering wikileaks as front page news. Also, Trump won the last two debates or at least held his own which is a win in some sense. No matter what the rationale, Trump had momentum before Friday.

I still suspect some crazy shit in the coming days, and am not dense enough to think it won't hurt Trump in a spectacular way. But as it stands now, the Friday FBI move, absent any other bombshells will almost certainly be enough for a comfortable outcome for Trump on Nov8.

Unless Trump can get voters off their rumps, you can stick a fork in him. He's done.
The early voter turnout doesn't look good enough for Trump to overcome Democratic candidates advantage. He needs a historic turnout of white working voters and he isn't getting it, so far at least.

I'm reading contradictory statements here. Like picking petals from an oxeye daisy, while saying "he's gonna win, he's gonna lose, ..."
