Of course. It's just common sense. We would do the same if someone attacked Pearl Harbor, for example.

I see a Korea-type situation as more likely, though, where Ukraine remains divided and the conflict remains unresolved for many years to come. That'll give the US an excuse to keep the military industrial complex going.

The more cynical think that it's not so much neoconservatism that driving foreign and military policy as the military-industrial complex.

As usual, follow the money. The arms trade is hugely important to many economies in addition to the US, too.
