James Arlandson — How the GOP Can Dominate Politics Past 2020

Put on a smiley face forward, grow the economy, practice stealth and act slowly but methodically, so the public is not aware of the move away from the Keynesian welfare state to the Friedmanite market state.

Really.

How can GOP dominate politics post 2020? Control redistricting and the constitution.
Few points:
1. (GOP) Prez should call for "real conservatives" on Supreme Court. This plays very well with the base and gives GOP full control. Also other Courts.
2. Introduce legislation that means state boundaries are drawn by state legislatures.
GOP then has controls of courts and could well have enough for constitutional amendment.
3. Introduce tax cuts with an informal quid pro quo with major donors they will spend money ON A VARIETY OF GOODS including things poor people buy to push up inflation. Say 10% of tax cuts saved for that purpose. That is how you BEAT MMT. But it is done in private agreement.
Plus the ideas in the article. Hell, maybe introduce universal healthcare or something to throw some wolves away and scutter Obamacare/Dems. It would be good for saving costs for corporates.
First thing in office would be default on "nat debt" held to China and other export led nations along with tax cut stimulus. Then try to overthrow via coups, Ecaudor looks like a good start given intensive media propaganda there.
Give Pentagon first control of resources (not central bank.) This allows you to throw that lobby to the wolves.
Any thoughts?

Sometimes its good to think about what you would do if on the other side ;)
TBH I think MMT is most likely to be introduced by GOP. Introduce "Military Job Guarantee" ;)
How much space is in US economy? You could have 15% GDP spent on military from ending austerity plus cutting down on bank lending and banning crap? If push comes to shove with appropriate rationing and introduction of Military Keynesianism. I could see popular right wing support.

That means private sector has to compete against the military. Corporate is important but state is first. Can't see US JG as will be converted to "workfare." This won't.

These I feel are best ideas for GOP as posed by question above. That doesn't mean I necessarily support them, you will be happy to know ;)
