David Ferguson — There are four ways Donald Trump may be guilty of treason, says law expert

The attack on Donald Trump intensifies.

I should say "bogus attack."
While there has been no disclosure thus far of evidence….
Expect "treason" to be the new meme.

If that doesn’t work, I suppose they will try cannibalism.

Someone tell them they already jumped the shark some time ago.

The Hague is investigating US for torture. Obama's 'interventions' in Syria, Libya, Yemen and elsewhere are gross violations of international law that threaten domestic security. Meanwhile Hillary got a pass on Sec. of State pay-to-play deals via the Clinton Foundation.

If that's not treason ...

This should show how deceitful the media is. It has been known for days that Craig Murray acted as a go between between a US insider who provided the Clinton leaks and Wikileaks yet it goes unreported.

"continue to disgrace themselves."

They have got to stop Trump taking office. Especially if any of the Pizzagate stuff is true.

John Podesta threw pool parties with seven, nine, and eleven year old children:

https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/42356

Read the email and tell me it isn't dodgy Tom and all you. Yes, it could just be nothing and he referred to kids as "entertainment" cos he enjoyed their company in non sexual way but the email is freak in weird. Maybe I have gone off the deep end. I know you of all ppl think it is fake news.

"With enormous gratitude to Advance Man Extraordinaire Haber, I am popping up again to share our excitement about the Reprise of Our Gang’s visit to the farm in Lovettsville. And I thought I’d share a couple more notes: We plan to heat the pool, so a swim is a possibility. Bonnie will be Uber Service to transport Ruby, Emerson, and Maeve Luzzatto (11, 9, and almost 7) so you’ll have some further entertainment, and they will be in that pool for sure. And with the forecast showing prospects of some sun, and a cooler temp of lower 60s, I suggest you bring sweaters of whatever attire will enable us to use our outdoor table with a pergola overhead so we dine al fresco (and ideally not al-CHILLo)."

"They will be in that pool for sure"??

Trump: "Jeff Sessions will take care of politicians that were bribed with "something else" other than campaign contributions, I wouldn't want to be them"

Just said this at his rally in AL. BOOM.

Random I think you just have to let the legal process work on that issue post Jan 20..

That's fine by me! Try Trump for treason, but first of all try every past congressman, senator, veep, prez, etc. Who'd survive? Nobody, which is also fine by me. The tree of liberty is in dire need of refreshment...

@ Random

Inference not evidence.

It's possible to build many narratives based on inference. It's what conspiracy theory is all about.

Another good one is: "Trump should undergo psychiatric examination. See:

Problem with that idea is that you could say the same for almost all "very serious people, newspaper editors, members of Congress, you name it.

Try Trump for treason

In the fist place, all we have seen is inference and zero evidence.

Secondly, there is proof of intent.

In ability to prove intent in the case of alleged fraud was the reason the AG for not prosecuting the TBTJ banks.

The notion that Trump could be charged with treason is absurd. This is another narrative to discredit him.

«Someone tell them they already jumped the shark some time ago.»

That's what I thought on reading a recent Krugman article, that does not quite call for treason trials, that begins:

www.nytimes.com/2016/12/16/opinion/useful-idiots-galore.html
«On Wednesday an editorial in The Times described Donald Trump as a “useful idiot” serving Russian interests. That may not be exactly right. After all, useful idiots are supposed to be unaware of how they’re being used, but Mr. Trump probably knows very well how much he owes to Vladimir Putin. [...]
But let’s be honest: Mr. Trump is by no means the only useful idiot in this story [...] , bad guys couldn’t have hacked the U.S. election without a lot of help, both from U.S. politicians and from the news media. [...]
The pro-Putin tilt of Mr. Trump and his advisers was obvious months before the election [...]
By midsummer the close relationship between WikiLeaks and Russian intelligence was also obvious, as was the site’s growing alignment with white nationalists.»

However much I think that Sanders would have been a better president than Trump, these clintonista smear campaigns (on both Trump and Putin) seem mostly comical to me.

The impression I get from Krugman's jump of the shark, and from posts from other authors, is that the "ruling classes" have become softer-talking on neoliberalism, after the "Leave" referendum and the election of D Trump, but neocon foreign policy is considered a red line.
