Dustin Voltz — New website aims to track Russian-backed propaganda on Twitter

A website launched on Wednesday seeks to track Russian-supported propaganda and disinformation on Twitter, part of a growing non-governmental effort to diminish Moscow's ability to meddle in future elections in the United States and Europe.

The "Hamilton 68" dashboard (here) was built by researchers working with the Alliance for Securing Democracy, a bipartisan, transatlantic project set up last month to counter Russian disinformation campaigns.

The website, supported by the German Marshall Fund, displays a "near real-time" analysis of English-language tweets from a pool of 600 Twitter accounts that analysts identified as users that spread Russian propaganda.

The Alliance for Securing Democracy, a bipartisan project backed by the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF), has launched a Web tool to keep tabs on Russia's ongoing efforts to influence public opinion in the United States and abroad. Called Hamilton 68—named for the 68th edition of the Federalist Papers, in which Alexander Hamilton discussed how to prevent foreign meddling and influence in America's electoral process—the Web dashboard tracks 600 Twitter accounts "linked to Russian influence activities online." That's according to a blog post by the Alliance's senior fellow and director Laura Rosenberger and non-resident fellow J.M. Berger.

Steve Lendman calls bullshit.
ASD is run by hawkish bipartisan anti-Trump, Russophobic neocons. Its mission statement calls itself a “transatlantic alliance… to defend against, deter, and raise the costs on Russian and other state actors’ efforts to undermine democracy and democratic institutions.”

“The Alliance will work to publicly document and expose Vladimir Putin’s ongoing efforts to subvert democracy in the United States and Europe.”
Its leadership and advisory council include a rogue’s gallery of undemocratic extremists. Co-leaders are Hillary’s 2016 foreign policy advisor Laura Rosenberg, and former GW Bush administration DOD/NSC official, former Marco Rubio foreign policy advisor during his 2016 presidential campaign.
Advisors include Project for the New American Century (PNAC) co-founder William Kristol, retired admiral James Stavridis, former Homeland Security director Michael Chertoff, former acting CIA head Michael Morell, and former US ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul, among others.
The ASD is ideologically militant, a similar organization to the Foreign Policy Institute, PNAC’s successor group. Its original name was too toxic to maintain – the new one ideologically no different.

The German Marshall Fund is the Geneva-based Edmund (Edmond?) de Rothschild created org formed in 1987-1989 to be part of the backup for the Global Warming Movement which the Rothschilds started. Few know this. I have a recording of de Rothschild saying this at a secret meeting held in the week after the Denver Co 4th Worldwide Wilderness Conference in September, 1987 with transnational investors planning on cashing in on "global warming."

Not one word about funding scientific research, or new forms of energy. It was all about the dough to be made by getting sovereign governments to use their sovereign incontrovertible currency to fund their investments. Everyone has fallen for this like a cheap suit.
