Bill Mitchell — The Left has failed during the pandemic but not because they supported restrictions

I usually use Wednesday to write less here. But because sometimes a data release is on Wednesday, Thursday then becomes my lighter day. And I also have to travel a lot today. But there is a relatively important issue to address. I have been receiving a lot of E-mails over the last several months that question me about my position on government restrictions with respect to the Covid pandemic. Apparently, it has seeped into the debate that the mainstream Left have been silent while governments around the world have imposed draconian social control on their citizens, which have been targeted against the workers. The questions all seems to suggest that I have been silent on that issue, which is indicative that I have adopted the ‘woke’ Left position. I beg to differ....

Just goes to show that academics are fools when they stray outside their area of expertise.

Australia has degenerated into a police state that is needlessly vaccinating healthy people in a futile effort to prolong the lives of people who are near the end of their natural lifespan.

The only use for these substandard vaccines is to protect vulnerable individuals. Currently, that protection is temporary.

Using them in a mass vaccination campaign is reckless. We don't know enough about viruses that cause colds to assume they can be controlled, or that control is advisable.

This is a grand experiment, instigated by a civilization that is headed over a cliff. In the next 30 years, humanity will consume as much energy as it has since 1750. What could go wrong?

In the meantime, Bill Mitchell would have us believe that MMT, or the "left", are potential sources of salvation. Talk about nearsightedness...

As if 400 studies on MMT would end orthodox economics debates.

Kool-aid drinkers versus the data.

Look at that rabble:
Melbourne, What they WON'T show you - HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS

You won't find Bill Mitchell associating with those deplorables.

As a Canadian hunkered down for winter, I find it therapeutic to watch people enjoying summer in the southern hemisphere.
