A Sea of Cars
Please excuse the metaphorical title (hey, nobody is perfect...). Perhaps this would be better stated as "A large amount of recently arrived imported vehicles sits waiting for logistical transfer to dealerships in the U.S."
None of these cars pictured below are sitting there on a floorplan loan with a US bank, but I would assume they are being otherwise financed.

I believe the proper term is fleet.

It works, for me.
After all, it actually looks like a sea or a lake, and its waves (the up and down of the car roofs)
