Pat was more than a former military intelligence officer at DIA. He was DIA director in charge of worldwide covert ops, strategic planner for the JCS, first guy to teach Arabic and Islam at West point (designed the courses), Middle East military Liaison with Israel, and the model for the cigar-chomping colonel for the TV series, The A-Team. That's because he ran a team like that during Vietnam under MACVSOG. That's a short elevator list of what he's done.
Went back and looked at the copy of his CV that I had tucked away somewhere, just for shits and grins.
