Apparently, South Ossetia and Abkhazia have the right to hold a referendum and now is the right time to conduct all legal procedures, says Leonid Kalashnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots.
The referendum on the accession of South Ossetia to Russia will be held after the presidential elections, which are scheduled for April 10.
If true, looks like they are going for everything East of the Dnieper river.
Been reported the build up of troops in Belarus is to Stop Poland or anyone else carving up Western Ukraine. Reclaim old territory they used to own.
Russia has now moved more Troops to the border with Ukraine than they did before the whole thing started.
If true all of this just puts more pressure on the negotiations.
They Ukranians should just surrender to save lives. It is over. Russia will get everything they ask for in the negotiations. Might as well just give them to Russia now.
The Russian MOD claims that "the Russian Armed Forces have taken under control all the main lines of communication, supply and approach of the Ukrainian army reserves".
No way in and no way out for the 60,000 now trapped in the cauldron.
