Some details on the Appropriations Bill

Tweet below from a Minnesota Democrat some excerpts:

"...the legislation advances our battle against the illegal dumping of low-grade, foreign government-subsidized steel.... provides additional funds for local transportation projects in Minnesota and throughout the nation, along with new measures to make our air and rail systems safer.....fully funds the National Institutes of Health so they can continue groundbreaking research leading to new treatments and ultimately cures for cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, diabetes and other dreadful diseases that rob our people and our nation of so much life and productivity.....The bill also raises pay for those on active duty and boosting funding for veterans services; and the legislation contains new measures to prevent terrorists from using the legal immigration system to enter this country to kill Americans...."

Don't see much to complain about.

So no problem with CISA (the Internet SOPA on steriods aka the Federal internet censorship and spying bill) being stuck onto this as well as quadrupling H-2B visas, 300k unscreened visas just for muslim invaders from conflict zones as well as outsourcing 200k jobs and the load of corporate pork handouts?

This bill is a neoliberal wishlist disaster because every single piece of corporate special interest shit has stuck onto this see http://billmoyers.com/story/lurking-within-that-ominous-omnibus-spending-bill/.

Nobody opposes it because nobody wants to shut down the government and default. The result of all this deficit hawking is crappier and crappier laws and less and less democratic representation. F them all. Congress and President can go to hell.

Sept,

Personally I advocate for more surveillance (I'm not libertarian in any way, shape, or form...) so this probably comes up short there imo and I dont care if more Muslims come here as long as they are not terrorists which we can check them out in advance or throw them out if they get thru...

They put in some nice adds for infrastructure and R&D and the GWOT, etc... looks like maybe a $50B to $100B add YoY.... then we will have the kick in Interest Income and we might be able to more than just muddle thru for the remaining 3 quarters of the current FY...

Will this bill increase spending materially? How much will spending increase relative to recent years?

Matt Franko said...

Crake they have about 50-100b + in discretionary here... then we will get the normal kick in the non discretionary via demographics... plus if Fed keeps raising maybe another 25 there.... could end up 200b + yoy... then the banks can leverage that too....

Last year total withdrawals about 4.25T....

So a potential 10% increase, right? Significant?

CISA isn''t just surveillance of IS on twitter who harass and threaten everyone and nobody does anything. CISA is about Hollyweird creating "IP rights" that remove all "fair use" and created tiered content access which net neutrality was suppose to protect against but is rendered a moot issue. CISA about UK style ISP level filters against anything deemed offensive. It will start with drugs, then porn, then "hate speech", then all political disagree aka censorship on a level that puts the Chinese to shame.

P.S. Have you checked out the newest Chinese innovation in slave tech? Check it out: 1984 the Social Media Shame Game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHcTKWiZ8sI.

Can't wait for the American version. It will be even better. Bill Gates can't wait for this kind of stuff to be put into his Common Core project.

The economy will grow for the 1% and wages and labor will continued to be destroyed as we go further down the sink. The H-2B visas program should be called the McTeching of STEM fields. American-born PHD researchers will soon be paid at minimum wages as this bill gives corporate tax credit for every 3rd "STEMer" trained as a replacement.

They aren't funding R&D. They are funding the replacement of the American R&D labor force because everything has a "diversity" quota attached to the grants. Nothing going to improve. Nothing.

Everything this government does is done to screw the native born population and drive them into third world conditions. Everything.

The entire neoliberal game has been changing language it sounds progressive. We get "immigration rights" shills combined PC "anti-racists" whenever local workers or native citizens or voters get upset and try and organize against the system's corruption.

The Federal government or a George Soros NGO will magically find a "diversity problem" with community and send in a bunch of outsiders carpet-baggers and "neoprogressive" shills to shut down all dissent in the name of "social justice" and so the demographics change in such a way that population can never organized as it always being "shocked" by the cultural diversity.

The demographic changes and low native birth rates in the United States and Europe aren't "natural" but part of the engineered Neoliberal program aka Anarcho-Tyranny. We create a third world crisis and then import the problems into first so the can continue the shock doctrine.

The problem is I can't really find a solution. If you this http://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/ted-kaczynski-the-system-s-neatest-trick it explains are great as to why the "revolution" never comes. Can anyone here actually refute Crazy Ted's argument?

Manufacturing crisis and disfunction is our new growth economy and all impulses to rebel are then turned into fuel for the machine. Neoliberalism and Neoprogressivism are a Cults of Chaos.

1. TUNE IN to the historical fact that governments have been the agents of the ruling class since the advent of surplus societies and class structure.

2. TURN ON your brain, fire up your crap detector, and quit drinking the kool-aid.

3. DROP OUT of the system and create underground alternatives.

Lots of people figured this out back in the Sixties and Seventies. TINA.

1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circular_reasoning

2. Replace "The System" with "The Market" to illustrate crazy Ted's mystical beliefs.

3. The trend is towards increased state violence, if not outright fascism. Xenophobic attitudes are on the rise as well.

4. Societies change regardless of what activists or rebels may want.

Sept,

You are over systematizing... we have institutional breakdown across the board ie no leadership... its a libertarian utopia this chaos you can see is what happens under that type of rule...

Why would you impose a system where they sell cars that can drive 135 mph when the speed limit is 65 in the first place? Why would you let a bunch of unemployed people in when we dont have enough jobs for people that are already here? because "freedom!" ie "human caprice..." Eph 4:14

Matt Franko said...

Want to stop people from speeding? then stop selling cars that can speed.... want to reduce unemployment? then stop importing people that are unemployed....

This one never did sense to me either. It's allowed because "freedom!", right!

want to reduce unemployment?

Lack of employment is inadequacy to solve the job matching problem (as Neil says) + lack of disposable income (not enough demand). The way to solve is to provide enough funds at people who lacks income and organize resources adequately to provide jobs (which one way or an other will require govt intervention).

Speed limits do not apply to private roads or racetracks.
