Down in a Hole

Same falsehood from two different sources:

Here from morons who seek to project the damaging effects of this falsehood onto others:

Here from artists who project it upon themselves:

We are NOT in a hole.

The problem with the National Debt is that it is inherently risk-free yet has positive yields so it is welfare proportional to wealth.

We should fix that via negative (for shorter maturities) to 0% (longest maturity) yields on sovereign debt with the most negative interest on reserves (since they have 0 maturity wait).

Let's end welfare for the rich and all sorts of good benefits should arise including increased exports since foreigners will no longer be able to use the US dollar to buy welfare so instead will buy more US goods and services and/or invest here.

Adding that we should have a $250,000 or so negative-interest-free exemption for individual citizens since SOME risk-free liquidity/savings is legitimate.

The difficulty lies not in the new ideas, but in escaping from the old ones. -- John Maynard Keynes

Mike Norman recommended this excellent book a few months ago: "Freedom from National Debt" by Frank N. Newman

I read it a while ago and it's great. It's a good technical explanation of what the national "debt" actually is and I loved the comparison the author made between fiscal policy and turning on or off your AC during warmer or cooler times.

The best part about the book is knowing that the author was a Deputy Secretary of the Treasury back in the 90s and actually saw this in action. If that isn't enough to sway the ideologues, I don't know what else is.

JR thanks for that WOW!...

Interesting that they use the word "bias" to describe that phenom...

I'd like to think at some point all of this is going to be like playing tic-tac-toe for us JR.... seems like we have a way to go tho... ;)

Here is Paul on this; getting further to the bottom of this:

18 For God's indignation is being revealed from heaven on all the irreverence and injustice of men who are retaining the truth in injustice,
19 because that which is known of God is apparent among them, for God manifests it to them.
20 For His invisible attributes are descried from the creation of the world, being apprehended by His achievements, besides His imperceptible power and divinity, for them to be defenseless,
21 because, knowing God, not as God do they glorify or thank Him, but vain were they made in their reasonings, and darkened is their unintelligent heart.
22 Alleging themselves to be wise, they are made stupid

Causation runs from God > men retaining the truth in injustice > stupidity via God's indignation...

So I dont think the artists are being made stupid as although they may not be manifesting truth, they are NOT retaining truth in injustice...

iow the ones among us being made stupid have to be retaining the truth IN INJUSTICE...

No injustice from them, then no stupid...

The stupidity is coming on them due to the injustice of their policy....

We have no chance at all with these morons...

We probably have a better chance if we seek out people who are not actively advocating a policy of injustice... as they are actually not being made stupid...
