Michael Snyder - The Real Economic Numbers: 21.5 Percent Unemployment, 10 Percent Inflation and Negative Economic Growth

Maybe socialism in the 1970's wasn't so bad after all. KV

In the USA, "the percentage of the population that is employed has barely budged since the depths of the last recession."
"According to John Williams, if honest numbers were being used the unemployment rate would actually be 21.5 percent today.

"The government has simply been moving people from the 'officially unemployed' category to the 'not in the labor force' category for many, many years.

"If we use the government's own numbers, there are nearly 102 million working age Americans that do not have a job right now.

"That is higher than it was at any point during the last recession."

"Persons who are neither employed nor unemployed are not in the labor force. This category includes retired persons, students, those taking care of children or other family members, and others who are neither working nor seeking work."

They are retiring... Baby Boomers hit 65 years old in 2011...

This trend is going to accelerate as the Fed keeps raising the risk free rates and thus Boomers are able to get higher interest income on their savings and they will even stop gigging...

Kaivey this guy is spewing the good ole "unspecific doom forecast" here:

"We are in the terminal phase of the greatest debt bubble that humanity has ever seen, and there are an increasing number of indications that the party is about to come to a very abrupt end."

He is in CD...

The blog he refers to is called "The Economic Collapse"... hello...

Its a prepper site... crypto, gold, etc... Alex Jones stuff...

Knock if off... stop reading this stuff...

1/2 the country does not have $1,000 in the bank yet somehow Franko thinks they are "retiring". Most of the employment "gains" in the last decade have been old people who lost their retirement savings in the last two crashes and can't afford to reitre.

But the funniest bit is that Franko, not being either poor or retired, does not have the material competence to talk about being poor or retired. Which does not of course prevent him from doing so and as such is a prime example of cognitive dissonance.

Yo:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/dandiamond/2015/07/13/aging-in-america-10000-people-enroll-in-medicare-every-day/amp/

“About 10,000 people are now enrolling in Medicare every day.” “That’s a record surge in Medicare enrollment, and it’s expected to continue for the next 15 years, as the Baby Boomers age into their golden years“

??????

Get with it....

So Noah you think the answer to the problem of poverty and under employment is to have a discussion about doomsday prepping???? Buy crypto because the govt is going bankrupt????

“does not have the material competence to talk about being poor or retired. ”

So how is the solution for poverty and inadequate retirement income to be solved by someone with no relevant knowledge of fiscal/economic policy but rather knowing about how shitty it is to be poor or to have insufficient retirement income?

“Oh woe is me!” is not going to solve anything...

Matt Franko said...

Those people are the ones you DONT talk to... they don’t have any answers... yes they can testify to how shitty it is ... but that doesn’t solve anything... you have to talk to people who are competent and qualified...

Your cognitive dissonance and material incompetence make a compelling argument, but not for what you think. Non sequiturs and straw men ... LOL

If I have CD it would be from the stark realization that I have to share the planet with people as materially unqualified and incompetent (ie as STIPUD) as you are... could be possible

Matt Franko said...

“Non sequiturs”

Yo what you call non sequiturs is the whole point of the douchebags that Kaivey linked to....

FRANKO - do you understand what cognitive dissonance is?

FYI it is a rhetorical question.

There's another phrase for you to look up.
