"Much of the U.S. response will come in the form of "helicopter money," an application of Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) in which the central bank finances fiscal stimulus by purchasing government debt issued to finance tax cuts or public spending increases."

MMT doesnt say any of this... here we go again with the figurative language "helicopter money!"...

Dear Mr. Buiter,

Your "application of" MMT is rejected.

So you see this moron trying to synthesize MMT with monetarism via his "Helicopter money!" figurative language...

Unqualified...

"Flying around in helicopters "

S, do you think people are LITERALLY doing that????

My point is that art degrees have nothing to do with a lack of understanding.

People who write articles that disseminate misinformation are a problem.

Yeah the government will be credit accounts from helicopters. And some will have printing presses too. Perhaps one or two will mint coins.
