I don't know whether any conclusions can be drawn based on these figures, other than Trumpism is a right wing populist movement, just as progressivism appears to be a left wing populist movement.

These two versions of populism are likely to influence US politics for some time. Right now, Trumpism seems to be more populous than progressivism, which has not yet won any significant political victories.

That could change with a severe economic contraction, resulting in a situation similar to the 1930's. The pandemic would have to get a lot worse globally for that to happen in the US. Or some other exogenous factor. Endogenous economic and financial conditions don't support it.

Americans can vote for right populism or the status quo. Don't need a crystal ball to foresee that one.
