UK approves Pfizer vaccine

Injections starting next week... US a week or two after that...

These will be REAL injections ... as opposed to the figurative “injections of money!”....  ofc Art Degree morons in charge will continue to think they are both real...

MNE readers will be disappointed to learn that I'll probably get vaccinated before Xmas because I'm extra vulnerable, so I might live a few more years....:-)

Hey Ralph get on our Kevin over there to get his vax...

I had to ride his ass here for over a week just to get him to get the flu shot...

They should test this vaccine on the Irish... just in case.

I like your intro, Matt, but if used properly -- i.e. for government spending -- it seems to me that "injecting" money into the "veins" of the economy is not a bad metaphor (you have circular flow, possibly an elevated heart beat, etc.). It is only a problem if you take it for quantity theory of money thinking, no?

A nice distinction on your part, though.

Nothing wrong with using abstractions to represent the real or the figurative to represent the literal... as long as you and your audience understand the difference... which they obviously do not...
