Why we need sustainability standards that take the environment to the bottom line — Richard Murphy


To function efficiently and effectively as a policy tool capable of addressing emerging social and ecological challenges, political economy based on MMT analysis must be based on true cost accounting that takes externality into account. Focus on full employment as a policy goal is necessary but not sufficient. In fact, ecology is arguably the most important consideration in that it is now an existential threat.
