And if it turns out he's talking comblete BS, then NO PROBLEM.!!
Once you're famous for talking BS, everyone hangs on every word you say.
Nice work if you can get it.
To Mansoor H. Khan:
Naked Capitalism isn't the place to debate since Yves will capriciously delete the comments of people she doesn't like.
So come here to MNE if you want an honest debate.
Besides, you'll soon be banned there yourself is my guess.
“ And if it turns out he's talking comblete BS, ”
Who/what is the arbiter of that? There isn’t any... this is the problem...
On the science side we rely on testing ... these people on the Art side rely on rhetorical language or charismatic appearance, repetition, affirmation, etc all sorts of dialogic tactics... to bring people into believing their thesis ...
Testing isn’t part of the Art degree training...
The testing is monitoring for deflation or abnormal inflation all of which primarily relates to the productive capacity of the economy which in turn is subject to a large number of different factors. So a difficult science.
“ The testing is monitoring for deflation or abnormal inflation”
No afraid not... That’s not how it works... they will be constantly looking for the figurative “inflation” only...
They are trained to only look for what their thesis attests...
So Congress might eventually get their shit together and pass this big fiscal program and then if prices decrease and interest rates fall they won’t identify that...
Why would they ?.that type of data would not support their thesis...
Why do you think it would be a good idea to identify data/outcomes that do not support your thesis?
It’s the exact opposite... you point out data that SUPPORTS your thesis...
Well after Roosevelt's New Deal I'm sure "the establishment" remembers the word "deflation" it was linked to a similar sounding word "depression."
