European Energy Security Faces New Risks With Nord Stream Explosions — Cyril Widdershoven

  • The leakages and explosions at the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines take the European energy crisis to another level.
  • Analysts are worried that the leakages and explosions on both lines are not an incident but linked to the launch of the Baltic Pipe.
  • A disruption of Norwegian energy supplies to the European Union or the UK could lead to faster depletion of natural gas storage facilities in Europe this winter.
Taking economic warfare to a new level.

This is the sort of thing organized crime specializes in.

It all depends on how "organized crime" is defined.

As one of my mentors used to put it, the advantage of democracy is that there is a sort of standoff between the armed criminals outside the government and the armed criminals inside the government. In a totalitarian system the armed criminals in the government have all the weapons.

Germany probably extracting trapped gas in the pipeline (which is probably a lot) while not paying Russia so %Russia put a couple holes in it as it’s their gas..,

It’s not russias pipeline Germany built the pipeline for their 50% interest Russia was going to supply the gas for their 50%…

So now that the deal fell thru Germany gets to keep the pipeline while Russia gets to keep the gas..,

Too many beneficiaries to define this as an inside job. I make no distinction between the mafia in Brussels, and the mafias operating outside of Brussels.

“ Throughout the weeks of discussion of possible sanctions against Russia, Mr. Scholz had remained steadfast in his refusal to discuss his plans for the $11 billion pipeline,”

Only cost the German partner 11b they can get them whole for that we are spending that every month in Ukraine…

Problem ofc is making up for the loss of energy input… not hard..,

Why do you guys keep saying it’s a “Russian pipeline! “?

It’s a GERMAN pipeline.., Germany built it and paid for it…

Legally speaking, Nord Stream 1 and 2 are Russian systems.

Both Nord Stream systems were built by a number of contractors under the planning and supervision of Russia’s Gazprom.

Nord Stream 1 is owned and operated by Nord Stream AG, which includes two German companies (Wintershall Dea AG and PEG Infrastruktur AG) plus a Dutch company (N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie), a French company (Engie) and Gazprom, which provided most of the funding and is the majority shareholder.

Nord Stream 2 is owned and operated by Nord Stream 2 AG, which is a direct subsidiary of Russia’s Gazprom. Again Gazprom provided most of the funding and is the majority shareholder.

Nord Stream is Russian.

Well even if what you are saying is true thrn it’s certainly under Russian right to put a hole in it

Only Russian hawks convinced that Putin is a soft touch, might want to put a hole in it.

There are better suspects...
