Stephen Lensman — Sanders to Endorse Clinton, Betraying Loyal Supporters - UPDATED

Stabbed in the back.

Sanders pulls an Obama and stiffs supporters, revealing true colors.

Just as well he is out if the all the principle and spine he has.
Sanders earlier said he’ll support Clinton if she’s nominated, a de facto endorsement by any standard.

Unnamed party insiders now say on July 12, at a New Hampshire campaign event, he’ll make it official - according to Reuters, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CBS News, CNN and other media sources.

He almost did Thursday, saying “(w)e have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton. I don’t honestly know how we would survive four years of a Donald Trump as president.”

Endorsing her shows contempt for loyal supporters, naively expecting better, failing to understand all politicians lie, Sanders a self-serving dirty one like virtually all others.
His voting record proves it, on the wrong side of most issues mattering most.…
His so-called transformational revolution was phony, lofty rhetorical mumbo jumbo without substance, old wine in new bottles, weasel-worded populism for the gallery, not reality - at the same time supporting imperial madness, endless wars, not a word on the stump denouncing them.

Backing an unfit to serve widely reviled hawkish neocon - irreparably tainted, a walking conflict of interest, untrustworthy, scandal-ridden, war criminal/racketeer puts Sanders in bed with the most dangerous presidential aspirant in US history.…

To be fair, Sanders has been saying all along that he'd support Hillary if he lost the nomination. So this wasn't a betrayal or a 'stab in the back'.

Since April, IIRC.

Since then many have said that supporting is one thing while endorsing her is another. Plus, there are different shades of support. Not running as third party candidate or endorsing a third party candidate like Jill Stein would be support for her.

Endorsing Hillary would terminate Bernie as a leader for these people given their view of Hillary.

But I think that Bernie campaigning strongly for HRC even without endorsing her explicitly would amount to an endorsement.

Bernie has disappointed a lot of people, just like Barack did.

I would say that right now progressives don't have a political leader they can get behind. Vacuum.

The most intelligent, principled and sincere anti establishment progressive was Ralph Nader. Sanders isn't even close in comparison.

...and if it was Trump v Nader I'd vote for Nader.

What is it with you Yanks. The fifty States have lost control of your federal government. Your federal government wants to rule the world, by bombing it into submission. It wants to impress democracy on Nation States that have never had it; and, don't want it. It sees every nation that has a slightly left of centre government as a terrorist State, that requires the CIA to enact "regime change".

Frankly you Yanks may think Daesh (ISIS) is the global terror. There are a lot of us in Eurasia, that think the US and its neoconservatives, are this planets biggest threat.

You would be right. The evidence is ample, beginning right after WWII — and even during WWII with the machinations of Allen Dulles and cohort that subsequently morphed into the CIA as a combined intelligence and para-military operational agency. It went downhill from there with the development of the military-industrial complex, just as Ike warned. Insiders now call it the Borg.

Put me on the boat that thinks the US government is the biggest threat to humanity right now.

HRC is the antithesis of what Sanders campaigned as and in fact, claimed to be all about.

She (HRC) is unquestionably a "widely reviled hawkish neocon - irreparably tainted, a walking conflict of interest, untrustworthy, scandal-ridden, war criminal/racketeer , regardless, Sanders is going to officially back her?

So much for convictions, right Bernie?

Bill must have promised him an aisle in the Clinton Library or at least SS protection.

Honestly, I think Bernie is a bit stunned by how brutally the DNC machine has handled him. And he's in a tricky situation. He made a heavy investment in and to the Democratic base [eg the real progressives] and he cannot simply abandon them for The Greens.

So now he has to balance his principals and Real Politik. Which means not being a 'spoiler' and at least 'making nice' with HRC. If she wins, he can hold her feet to the fire in the Senate. And if she loses, he can try to salvage something from the wreck of the Democratic Party.

Also, a Trump victory will wreck the GOP as well. 'Interesting times' as they say....

Bernie is supposedly doing his utmost to get his policy platform (not a watered-down version of it) accepted by the Democratic party at its forthcoming convention.

So maybe he joins Greens in August after the DNC?

They can promise Bernie the moon. Once Hillary is elected those promises will be dropped.

Bernie as Judas Goat - now that I can believe.
