About the only option left is to kick Turkey out of NATO before it quits on its own.
Turkey is no more a democracy than the US is. Perhaps their electoral system is superior?
Erdogan is an example of someone who believes himself to be indispensable. There's a straightforward way to deal with individuals like that.
Washington is not to blame for Turkey's economic and foreign policy incompetence. And you can't expect Europe to be friendly following the refugee crisis.
