"We were never going to find a contract signed in blood saying, 'Hey Vlad, we're going to collude,'" one Democratic aide said.

WASHINGTON — After two years and 200 interviews, the Senate Intelligence Committee is approaching the end of its investigation into the 2016 election, having uncovered no direct evidence of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, according to both Democrats and Republicans on the committee.

This proves that the US Senate is as much a Russian agent as is Trump.
Meanwhile Trump wants regime change in Venezuela, while Putin wants no regime change. Therefore both individuals are concerned with Venezuela.
And if that’s not proof enough for you, the names “Putin” and “Trump” have the same number of letters.
Rachel Maddow has all the details.

Socialism for the rich
In addition to the hundreds of billions of dollars created out of thin air for the Pentagon each year, there is a special slush fund called the “Overseas Contingency Operations” (OCO) account.
This scam is a way for everyone connected with the Military Industrial Complex to ignore federal spending caps, and to avoid the tracking of federal funds. People use it to siphon off many tens of billions of dollars from Washington.
Obama used the OCO to avoid budget caps after Congress enacted the Budget Control Act of 2011, which mandated $900 billion in across-the-board cuts to both defense and nondefense programs over a period of 10 years, in response to the debt-ceiling farce.
On top of the base military budget, Obama requested an additional $88 billion in OCO funding for fiscal year 2013. Since then, the yearly request has been average of $76 billion.
Now the Pentagon wants to DOUBLE it.
And Trump (Mister “Anti-Socialist”) wants to give it to them.
Trump’s budget director, Mick Mulvaney, campaigned for years against the “slush fund,” and he swore to eliminate it. Now he has reversed himself.
Again, all the scammers associated with the slush fund want to double it.
And no one asks, “How will you pay for it?”

Federal programs are only "unaffordable" when they help average people.

With or without the Russia-gate hoax, each day Trump gives us a new reason to despise him.
Today, for example, the US House voted 248-to-177 to end US military support for the Saudi war on Yemen. The measure now goes to the Senate. If it passes the Senate, Trump says he will veto it on behalf of his Saudi friends, and there are not enough votes in Congress to override him..
Fat pathetic clown.
I had never heard of Au Revoir Simone. Three girls from New York City.
Years ago I stopped listening to popular music (at least in English) because it all seemed to have degenerated into rap and other forms of trash. You’ve shown me that this is not the case.
I listened to both selections, including the full album. They’re nice, but I don’t think I’d replay them over and over like I do most of the songs you recommend.
TRIVIA: Below is a song I had never heard before today, even though the song is well known.
The Kinks – “Living on a Thin Line” (1984)
Evidently the song is about UK political corruption, plus the loss of British cultural identity. It had little commercial success, but the song has become a fan-favorite. Since it is popular with pro-Brexit people, and with anti-immigration campaigners, it was banned by YouTube as “hate speech.” (!!!)
YouTube later reinstated the song after much protest.

The Kinks are from North London. Since I was born and raised in Hollywood CA, I was fond of their song “Celluloid Heroes” (1972). I understood it, even though I never had any connection with the entertainment industry.

The Kinks were good. One day in the 90's when the British punk rock scene had been long dead and gone, I heard, You Really Got Me, on the radio, and I realized that punk was nothing new at all. Even the name, The Kinks, was bolshy and daring.
I hated rap and hip hop, too. And then the boy and girl bands came along and there were no songs anymore, just a load of singing without any tunes. The best songs were in the 60's and early 70's. But I do love modern music because it's often experimental pop. I like anything different.
