This quote is gold:

Where was Trump’s mind? Just as he is emerging from the impeachment hoax, why did he commit an impeachable act? Trump attacked another country without Congressional authorization. He thumbed his nose at Congress and the law. It is the duty of the President to enforce the laws of the United States, not break them. The Democrats now have a real impeachable offense to hang around Trump’s neck.

But they will not make us(e) of it...

It always warms my heart to know that the U.S. war machine will never become revenue constrained thanks to the miracle of Modern Money. Of course, it's just a coincidence that the precursor of modern money, the Fed, was created right before the start of WWI.

During World War I, federal expenditures ballooned and although the new income tax was able to partially finance the war effort, most of the financing was done through federal borrowing and by the highly accommodating monetary policy of the Federal Reserve. The role of the Federal Reserve at this time was expressed unambiguously by the New York Federal Reserve Bank Governor Benjamin Strong, who told a Congressional committee in 1921 that "I feel that I, or the bank at least, was their [the Treasury’s] agent and servant in those matters" and further added that the wartime inflation caused by the low interest rates maintained by the bank were "inevitable, unescapable, and necessary" for prosecuting the war (Strong, 1930).

To a "progressive", such government interference in society is called "the free market". Because "progressives" are so honest.

I always thought PCR was a bit off when he thought Trump would bring peace...

I have to wonder what's going on in the Pentagon. Is it full of crazed bloodthirsty psychopaths? There's smart evil and there's crazy evil. I had always assumed the Pentagon consisted of the former.

From Murray's article, ". The Iranians were naturally not going to stand for this and Iranian militias were successfully destroying the ISIL remnants, which is why General Qassem Suleimani was in Iraq, why a US mercenary assisting ISIL was killed in an Iranian militia rocket attack, and why Syrian military representatives were being welcomed at Baghdad airport."

Can anyone point me to more sources about this? About who "contractors" are, what they doing and about current US support for ISIS, tacit and direct? \

Hey Matt,

Gen. Soleimani was responsible for driving ISIS and Al Qaeda out of Syria and Iraq. Do you support ISIS?

Matt supports "Death to Iran".

"#1 sponsor of terrorism" might be Saudi Arabia
but there's little doubt the #1 perpetrator of terrorism is the US.
We since we back Saudi Arabia, we might also get the title of the #1 sponsor as well, if there's a transitive property of sponsorship.
