Over the last decade, my colleague, University of California, Santa Barbara psychology professor Jonathan Schooler and I have developed what we call a “resonance theory of consciousness.” We suggest that resonance – another word for synchronized vibrations – is at the heart of not only human consciousness but also animal consciousness and of physical reality more generally. It sounds like something the hippies might have dreamed up – it’s all vibrations, man! – but stick with me.The Conversation
Could consciousness all come down to the way things vibrate?

A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge is easy to one who has understanding. Proverbs 14:6
So everything in the universe could have a bit of consciousness in it. Perhaps that is God consciousness? The higher consciousness.
String theory is all about the smallest vibrations.
Do you know, when I was young and was interested in Jungian psychology, I used to wonder if the universe was conscious a little bit. But that would mean that the universe was a living thing. Now that's bizarre.
Perhaps it's true, the past affects the present, and the present affects the future, and the future affects the past. In that way, the universe could be alive. Carl Jung's myth was that God was gaining consciousness through mankind, and all living creatures.
