Jimmy Dore - BBC Reporter Slams NY Times For “Lazy F***ism”

Part 3 with Greg Palast.

They say Maduro is a dictator, who allows the opposition to go on marches; and the opposition can call the U.S. to start civil war without being arrested; and they can bear arms; and the opposition owns all the media and prints mainly anti-government propaganda.

They say that Maduro is stopping the oil money from getting to the people, even through the US. has  frozen Citco's bank Venezuela's bank accounts and all the oil money is flowing into the U.S. financial system instead.

The Western media show the 10,000 people marching in opposition to the government, but don't show the 100,000 marching in support of the government right next door.

Greg Palast says how the opposition complain that Maduro gives the poor things, like somewhere to live, food, and education. Wow, that's bad, isn't it? They call this buying votes, but don't the conservatives bribe people with tax cuts after which they give most of it to the rich.

I have complained about this for many years. Lavishing gifts on the rich is “democracy,” but helping the poor is “dictatorship.”

“He’s buying their vote!”

Western governments buy rich people’s vote through bailouts, subsidies, tax breaks, mandatory vaccination, ever-larger giveaways to weapons makers, legislation that favors the rich, and so on. And since the rich own all the corporate media outlets, and pay officials to rig elections, their vote counts.

The USA is a pure democracy. One dollar = 1 vote. He who has the most dollars has the most votes.
