Will mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines Be China’s Ticket Out of Isolation? Ye Ruolin

Kind of like developing chips. There's a steep learning curve and existing patents.

Tom, in the article there was nary a mention of the Hungarian woman Katalin Karikó whose brilliant work led to the mRNA vaccines.

This woman deserves the Nobel Prize in chemistry each and every year for the next decade!

You can just buy one from Pfizer for 20 bucks…

Katalin Karikó - a name that will go down in infamy.

Hey greek, I'm wearing my infamous Karl Marx drawers.

Do you know what the word "infamy" means? Or were you seriously trying to put the scientist down?

The applications of mRNA technology in human biology will lead to ground-breaking innovations not only in new vaccines but oncology (that's CANCER if you don't know what that word means) treatments, to name just one field.

TRIVIA 1: Hungary's greatest contribution to the world is its scientists, be they mathematicians, physicists, what have you. You think their something some brain nutrient in their goulash soup? Or is it their fascinating language. But like Greek, it has only three noun cases: nominative, accusative and possessive (though Greek does still use the dative cases in certain fixed phrases, especially in the church liturgy). Just look at the damn list:

TRIVIA 2: Greece today is known for its musicians and singers. I kid you not, that's what most Greek kids want to be when they grow up. The more aspiring little fuckers want to be gigolos as well. OK, now were talking!

mRNA gene therapy is decades old and has failed to live up to its hype.

Unlike Karl, this woman may live to see the results of her work.
I'm not suggesting she's responsible for its reckless deployment in the midst of a pandemic.
