Trump’s dismissal of the Russia-gate hoax at the Helsinki summit outraged global morons infected with Russia derangement syndrome.

However Trump himself is now drinking the Kool-aid.®

“When asked in a CBS interview if he held Putin responsible for the alleged interference, Trump said, ‘Just like I consider myself to be responsible for things that happen in this country, so certainly as the leader of a country you would have to hold him responsible, yes’.”

Thus, Putin is personally responsible for alleged “meddling” in the US election.

Paul Ryan (a Russia-gate fanatic) wants to double or triple the current sanctions on Russia.

We are ruled by idiots.

FBI Director Wray: Russia is continuing to sow discord in the U.S.
July 18, 2018

FBI Director Christopher Wray affirmed on Wednesday that he is confident in the assessment by U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election, and said Moscow is still working to sow discord in the United States.

Russia is using propaganda and fake news items to "spin up" Americans, Wray said at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado, and he brushed off Russian President Vladimir Putin's idea of having his country help U.S. authorities investigate 12 Russian military intelligence officials indicted last week on hacking charges. The offer is "not high on our list of investigative techniques," Wray said. Catherine Garcia

Let us not become angry or frustrated when someone spouts Russia-gate lies.

The liars don’t care that we condemn them, as long as we don’t ignore them.

Therefore let us ignore them.

Let us give no energy to the lies, even in the form of debunking the lies.

Let us boycott the liars and fools.

Dismiss them. Ignore them. Laugh at them. Never click on their filth.

Steve Bannon yesterday: “but on November 6, the deplorables will be plenty jacked up.”

Oh yeah... speaking from Trumpland I can attest to this for sure....

You guys again not qualified to comment as you didn’t vote for Trump...

@ Konrad - ignoring them doesn't work or address the problem. Especially when they control the vast majority of the media and are trumpeting their bullshit at top volume 24/7. The media we need to expose the lies is the very same media that is broadcasting them.

No one here should be surprised at the turns the dialectic takes.

Even though it is emergent, based on reflexivity, the outline are often easy to discern.

For example, it was obvious that DJT would have to side-step and even walk back some of the most controversial things. He has often done this in the past. It's his m.o.

This is a game of cornering the rat now. There are two rats involved, DJT from one POV, and the swamp from the other side. Cornered rats are dangerous.

This is quickly becoming hard ball. The gloves are coming off and nothing is off the table.

The eventual outcome is highly certain.

But don't get lost in the fog.

That is true on the level of reason, and from that POV it looks like DJT is walking back what he said.

But as Scott Adams has pointed out, DJT is a master persuader, and he known that reasoning is the level persuasive tool other than for a limited cohort. You don't win through reasoning. You win through persuasion.

From the POV of persuasion, the statement is vacuous in that it is patently ridiculous. But the swamp is faced with DJT appearing to walk back what he said. This is a classic move and it will work.

DJT does this kind of thing all the time, even contradicting himself in the same paragraph as he addresses different cohorts simultaneously.

It got him elected president if one accepts Scott Adams analysis and his forecasting record has been near perfect.

DJT is dealing with gaslighting here, and gaslighting is based on creating an alternative reality based on lies. This is difficult to counter when the gaslighting is being done about apparent authorities.

We will see how many are taken in by the Big Lie come the election.

No, but I have relatives that did. Anti non-European immigration was all they cared about.

Apparently only bigoted morons are qualified to comment on Trump.

Matt:You guys again not qualified to comment as you didn’t vote for Trump.

What does that have to do with it? I didn't vote for Trump and I have every right & qualification to comment on him. Do you think you have no right or qualification to comment on Clinton or Obama or Dems? Would be a pretty sterile and useless debate - or not a debate or discussion at all - if this rule were followed.

People say silly (or occasionally sensible) things here (and everywhere else). That is no reason to make meta-statements that are even sillier.
