Come to think of it – NATO. Wasn’t it Emmanuel Macron, who called a few weeks ago for an independent European army? That would make NATO obsolete – well, or would it? If taken by the letter, NATO has been obsolete for the last almost 30 years, but of course, nobody takes NATO by the letter. NATO is a killing force for the empire, and a huge trillion-dollar profit-making proposition for the US military industrial complex.
So, when Macron called for a European army, he may have upset some very violent interest groups, those who literally make a killing from killing. He may have gone a step too far in his imaginary role as King Macron. There are bigger kings than he is. A European army would most likely be armed by European weapon manufacturers, mostly from France and Germany – and – god forbid – perhaps even Russia? – This would be logical, since Russia is really no enemy of Europe, as every politician in Europe knows, even if they don’t dare to admit it. Also, Russia’s arms, especially long-range ballistic systems and Russia’s S-400 Air Defense System, are far superior to the US variety. Hence, partnering with Russia would not be rocket science, though certainly less than appreciated by Washington.

As bad as Macron is, if the CIA and Israel don’t like him he must be doing something right. Time for regime change, with pressure from inside and out.

“The so-called eco-tax was a political-propaganda tool, a brazen lie. The tax would not have served any environmental initiative in France, but simply been a forced people’s ‘contribution’ to the budget, ever more depleted by Macron’s austerity programs.” ~ Peter Koenig
Peter Koenig gets it. So do all the French protesters. Only Americans are deceived.
“He wants to impress his ‘employers’ – austerity is the name of the neoliberal game.” ~ Peter Koenig
“Little Jupiter” is desperate to impress his bosses, which are the bankers, plus the European Commission in Brussels. However austerity would be unavoidable for France even if Macron his bosses. France has a trade deficit, and therefore has no euros coming in from abroad. Therefore France must borrow all its euros. Therefore, in order to pay back the bankers (who create their loan euros out of thin air) the French government must squeeze more and more euros out of French workers. This means more and more austerity. The French debt to the bankers nonetheless keeps growing exponentially. Therefore poverty and austerity will keep worsening exponentially, with or without Macron.
“Wasn’t it Emmanuel Macron, who called a few weeks ago for an independent European army?” ~ Peter Koenig
Peter Koenig suggests that this angered powerful interests. I say that Peter Koenig is over-complicating things. His imagination is running away with him.
Macron only does what his bosses tell him to do. His call for a “European army” was a spontaneous attempt to flatter his bosses, who would be in direct command of a hypothetical army. Macron further flattered his bosses by saying that “nationalism” was evil, and that “patriotism” meant serving Macron’s bosses, which are Brussels and the bankers. Macron never appears in public without the EU flag of his bosses. He never misses a chance to grovel to his bosses at the expense of French workers. He knows that Brussels created him out of nowhere, and that his bosses could dump him the moment he displeases them.

Regarding NATO, the Troika is a bankers’ club, not a military-industrial-complex club. Brussels and Frankfurt are happy to let the USA incur the costs of NATO, so long as Brussels and Frankfurt can keep squeezing money out of the European masses. For the EU to have its own army, the bankers would have to let the generals and the weapons makers into the bankers’ club, which they don’t want to do, because the generals and the weapons makers have their own priorities and perspectives.
Bankers have their own world, and it is highly insular. Nazi Germany’s central banker, Hjalmar Schacht, was always close personal friends with the UK’s central banker, Montagu Norman, and with Lord Bearstead, a prominent Jew. Schacht was even godfather to one of Norman’s sons. Eventually Hitler removed and imprisoned Schacht for his treason. Then, during the Nuremberg “Trials,” Montagu Norman saved Schacht from the hangman’s noose. Schacht went on to establish his own bank.
More recently, recall that in July 2017, Macron took 850 million euros away from the French military and gave the money to his beloved vampire bankers. When the head of the French military complained about this, (Gen. Pierre de Villiers) Macron publicly barked at him, “I’m the boss!” Gen. Villiers immediately resigned in disgust.
The USA maintains nearly 800 military bases in more than 70 countries worldwide, since the U.S. government can create infinite dollars out of thin air. France has only eleven bases abroad, but the French government cannot create euros out of thin air. Therefore France is increasingly imposing austerity on its own bases, whose generals and 11,000 personnel are increasingly complaining.
Meanwhile Washington is happy with the status quo, because as long as Brussels, Frankfurt, and the bankers continue to crush European workers, Europe will remain too weak to oppose Washington’s will. Besides, the Troika consists of the European Commission in Brussels, the ECB in Frankfurt, and the IMF in Washington DC. These are Macron’s bosses.
“Could it be that military industrial oligarchs want Macron gone?” ~ Peter Koenig
French generals want Macron gone, but the big bosses (the bankers and the Troika) find Macron useful, because Macron is the target of French workers’ anger. Macron keeps public attention focused away from the Troika.
As long as “Little Jupiter” performs this function, and remains a puppet, the evil little dwarf will be useful.
If there is to be any kind of coup against Macron, it will come from French generals who are tired of austerity.

@ Noah Way:
Peter Koenig didn’t mention Israel or the CIA. Why do you think they don’t like Macron?
Actually Israel is having its own yellow vest protests against Netanyahu and his Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, who in October approved a huge pension increase for police staffers that cost some NIS 20 billion ($5.3 billion) and prompted huge budget cuts for all other ministries and government services.
The Jews are tired of the endlessly increasing corruption, and the endlessly rising cost of living.
Looks like it’s time for the Israeli government to fabricate another imaginary attack by Palestinians or by Hezbollah. Or start talking about imaginary “Hamas rockets.”
